Thought for the Day
 Apologies

If you . . . remember that your brother has something against you, . . . first be reconciled to your brother. —Matthew 5:23-24

Mark messed up. He arrived an hour late at a restaurant where he was to meet a friend from church. The friend had already left. Feeling sorry about his mistake, Mark purchased a gift certificate from the restaurant and stopped at a local card shop to search for an apology card. Among hundreds of cards, he was surprised to find only a few “sorry for my actions” cards in an obscure part of the store. He purchased one and gave it to his friend who accepted his apology.

Although apology cards may not be popular, apologies are frequently needed in our relationships. Apologizing is a biblical action. Jesus instructed His followers to make things right with those we’ve offended (Matt. 5:23-24; 18:15-20). And the apostle Paul said, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all” (Rom. 12:18). Living at peace may require apologies.

Apologies can be hard to make because it takes a spirit of humility to admit our mistake, which may not come naturally for us. But taking responsibility for how we were wrong in a situation can bring healing and restoration to a relationship.

Have you messed up? Swallow your pride and make the first move—even if you can’t find a card to help you say it.

Whenever you offend a friend,
Apologize and make things right;
For if you will admit your wrong,
You may avoid a needless fight. —Sper

The best way to get the last word is to apologize.

WELCOME to GNC HS BATCH 75
WELCOME to GNC HS BATCH 75

We are the GNC (Guagua National Colleges) HIGH SCHOOL BATCH '75 and FRIENDS. This site is for us to be able to update each other with what is going on with us and around us.  This is also to enable us to get and stay connected with each other. This is also to reminisce on the good old days, of less cares and lofty ideals and dreams. This is to revisit the innocent realities we enjoyed. Our site can even help facilitate and organise reunions here in the Philippines or abroad. Announcements can now reach the four corners of the world in just one click. Our up-to-the-minute www.gnc75.org  has a million and one reasons for existence.

Fate has been kind to us, but has scattered us around the world. Nevertheless, time and space are not limitations nowadays. So, wherever you may be and whenever you have the chance and time, let's enjoy each other's company i.e.,virtually speaking.

Las Vegas Invitation

Las Vegas Invitation

June 7 - June 10, 2012 will be The Las Vegas Meeting with whoever is available among our friends and classmates.  It is not a reunion, it is basically just a small get-together; a pay-and-find-your-hotel kind of thing.

I have Romy Pelagio, Rosita Navarro, Beth Campbell, Benny Yapyuco and of course, Merlinda (who resides in Vegas) and myself committed.  Merlinda might be able to assist those who may want to check in at The Palazzio or The Venetian.

To whoever wants to join us, we need your current landlines/cellphone so that we may get in touch
with you for any changes and once we are in Vegas for the meeting place.

You can indicate your commitment by e-mailing Jobeth; bethlimsingian@hotmail.com

Looking forward to see you.

When I think of home
I think of a place
where there's love overflowing
I wish I was home
I wish I was back there
with the things I've been knowing
Wind that makes the tall grass bend into leaning
Suddenly the raindrops that fall have a meaning
Sprinkling the scene
Makes it all clean
Maybe there's a chance for me to go back
Now that I have some direction
It sure would be nice to be back home
where there's love and affection
