Thought for the Day
The Book Of Nature
Scottish-American John Muir (1838– 1914) was raised by a Christian father who placed great emphasis on Scripture memory. By young adulthood, John allegedly could recite from memory all of the New Testament and large portions of the Old Testament.
As a young man, Muir developed a great love for God’s creation and viewed it as a source for understanding God. Historian Dennis Williams says that Muir referred to creation as the “Book of Nature.” While exploring the wilderness, he was able to study the plants and animals in an environment that “came straight from the hand of God, uncorrupted by civilization and domestication.” Muir went on to lead the forest conservation movement and was instrumental in creating many US national parks, including Yosemite, Sequoia, and Mount Rainier.
To nurture the spiritual interest of children and youth, we should primarily focus on the Bible. But we can also take them to God’s outdoor classroom, where we can cultivate their love for the Creator by showing the majesty of creation: “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead” (Rom. 1:20).
O Lord, we can see all around us each day
The wisdom the creatures of nature display;
O help us to learn from Your marvelous world
The wonder and beauty Your hands have unfurled. —Bosch
In God’s pattern book of nature
we can trace many valuable lessons.

| WELCOME to GNC HS BATCH 75 |
We are the GNC (Guagua National Colleges) HIGH SCHOOL BATCH '75 and FRIENDS. This site is for us to be able to update each other with what is going on with us and around us. This is also to enable us to get and stay connected with each other. This is also to reminisce on the good old days, of less cares and lofty ideals and dreams. This is to revisit the innocent realities we enjoyed. Our site can even help facilitate and organise reunions here in the Philippines or abroad. Announcements can now reach the four corners of the world in just one click. Our up-to-the-minute www.gnc75.org has a million and one reasons for existence.
Fate has been kind to us, but has scattered us around the world. Nevertheless, time and space are not limitations nowadays. So, wherever you may be and whenever you have the chance and time, let's enjoy each other's company i.e.,virtually speaking.

When I think of home
I think of a place
where there's love overflowing
I wish I was home
I wish I was back there
with the things I've been knowing
Wind that makes the tall grass bend into leaning
Suddenly the raindrops that fall have a meaning
Sprinkling the scene
Makes it all clean
Maybe there's a chance for me to go back
Now that I have some direction
It sure would be nice to be back home
where there's love and affection more |

Birthdays and Despedida at Lozano's Fieldview May, 03 2011
It was an easy afternoon and a relaxing evening. There we were, at Arnel Lozano’s Fieldview Resort. The Resort was where we were so many years back. It is more embellished and colorful and very much ready for the summer. Arnel was gracious enough to prepare a good- sized gazebo, complete with karaoke. Thanks Arnel!
We were able to celebrate the birthdays of Bernadeth and Doc Larry and the despedida for Rey and Dory Mallari, Remy and Lydia and her family. Fruits were aplenty: duat, tarnati, manga, pakwan. Atin mu ring mani, pancit, chicharon, tacos, duman and calderetang bibi. Syempre, e mekalingwan ing kantahan led by Bernard and Chit ampon terakan to the beat of I Will Survive and Dancing Queen.
Here are photos from Angelina (Dalaga) Perez. Grabbed from her FB.
